Here are some things you can do:

• Walking Dogs
• Socializing Dogs and Cats (Yes! That means come play with the animals so they get adapted to humans!)
• Bathing Animals

Just come into the Shelter and talk to us. And THANK YOU!

If you are traveling, there are other ways to help the Shelter!

If going to or through Denver:  The Denver Dumb Friends League has been wonderful in rescuing our dogs if we can get them there.  The dogs do need a rabies shot to cross state lines.  The Shelter has provided some rabies shots as well as the transporter has donated it as part of the rescue.  We have done it both ways.  Private donation can also be gathered for this quite easily.    The person would need to contact Nicole to get instructions on who to talk to, to get the dog(s) accepted.  Once accepted it is just a matter of getting them there.  How many dogs going in one transport would be up to the Denver Dumb Friends and the space available to transporter.  Just one dog would help.  The dog(s) will have to be allowed breaks on the trip, as it is several hours to Denver.

If going to or through Flagstaff:  Please contact Nicole if you are going to or through Flagstaff and can stop at the Purina Pet Food Factory.  They have offered us free treats in bulk quantities if we have a way to get them here.  Any free space in a vehicle will be appreciated. 

Sign up to do specific transports of dogs. We frequently have rescues for dogs but need volunteers to get them to the rescue.  The person volunteering can limit their area to Albuquerque, Santa Fe etc.  What ever they can do.  They would take one or a few dogs or pups to a destination at their own expense.  This is usually very easy to do and extremely rewarding since it is truly hands on life saving.
